South Los Angeles, CA – A shooting in South Los Angeles on Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, left two people dead and one injured, sparking a manhunt for two armed suspects — including one reported to be as young as 12 years old. The incident unfolded around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Dalton Avenue and Florence Avenue. According to authorities, two male Black suspects arrived in the area in a silver SUV, which was later found crashed into a parked car on Halldale Avenue, just south of Florence. Three victims were shot in the attack. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, found in the alley off Dalton Avenue, adjacent to Florence. A female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her arm and was transported to the hospital for treatment. A large-scale search is underway for the suspects, who were seen fleeing on foot. K-9 units and an air unit were immediately deployed. One suspect was spotted from the air, and officers were working to coordinate a ground arrest with the help of a canine team.
