South Los Angeles, CA – A shooting in South Los Angeles on Saturday evening, May 24, 2025, left two people dead and one injured, sparking a manhunt for two armed suspects — including one reported to be as young as 12 years old. According to authorities, two male Black suspects arrived in the area in a silver SUV, which was later found crashed into a parked car on Halldale Avenue, just south of Florence. A female victim sustained a gunshot wound to her arm and was transported to the hospital for treatment. A large-scale search is underway for the suspects, who were seen fleeing on foot. K-9 units and an air unit were immediately deployed. One suspect was spotted from the air, and officers were working to coordinate a ground arrest with the help of a canine team.
