Houston, TX,June 22, 2025 – A high-speed pursuit involving Texas DPS and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) ended in a violent multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025, near the intersection of Waugh and Gray in Houston.The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m., when the suspect’s vehicle lost control, crossed into oncoming lanes, and collided with a Ford sedan before slamming into a minivan in the intersection.The suspect was ejected from the fleeing vehicle due to the force of the crash. A firearm was found near the suspect at the scene.The Ford sedan was reportedly operating as an Uber, carrying a driver and two passengers, while the minivan—also a rideshare vehicle—was transporting six passengers and a driver.Firefighters worked for nearly 30 minutes to extricate victims from the wreckage. In total, 8 of the 11 people involved were transported to local trauma centers. All are expected to survive.
