Houston, TX, July 29, 2025 — A property owner shot two suspected burglars, one in the face, during an early morning altercation in North Houston on Monday. The incident occurred around 4:25 a.m. on July 29, 2025, at a property in the 200 block of E. Burress Street. Houston Police Department units from the North Shepherd division responded to reports of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived, they found two injured men on the property. One of the suspects had sustained a shotgun wound to the face. Both were treated at the scene by Houston Fire Department medics and transported to nearby trauma centers. According to HPD, the suspects were allegedly attempting to steal copper wire when they were confronted by the property owner.
