A hit-and-run collision in South Los Angeles left a pedestrian dead on Sunday evening, February 23, 2025. According to the LAPD, the victim was fatally struck by a speeding vehicle on Main Street, between 73rd and 74th Streets, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The driver did not stop and continued northbound on Main Street from 74th Street.At this time, police have no description of the suspect vehicle, and LAPD detectives are en route to investigate the incident . Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to identify the driver responsible for the fatal crash.
