Los Angeles, CA – Authorities have identified 72-year-old Margaret Jackson as the woman who tragically lost her life in a multi-vehicle collision on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway near Wilshire Boulevard on Friday evening.
The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m., prompting a swift response from police officers and firefighters. Emergency crews found Jackson trapped inside a vehicle and attempted extrication efforts, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to Jackson’s fatal injuries, an 80-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were hospitalized in critical condition, while a 60-year-old woman sustained injuries and was listed in fair condition.
The crash also impacted two dogs; one was killed, while the other initially ran from the scene but was later located.
