A tragic accident occurred in Fullerton late March 13, 2025, at 10:53 p.m., when a man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Library Lane.
According to Kristy Wells, PIO for Fullerton PD, officers and Fullerton Fire Department, paramedics responded to the scene and found the man down in the roadway. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It remains unclear whether the victim was in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. The Fullerton Police Department Major Accident Investigative Team has taken over the investigation.
The driver remained at the scene, and it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
