A Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACOFD) emergency squad was involved in a traffic collision late Sunday night, March 9, 2025, near Wilmington Avenue and 120th Street in Willowbrook.
The crash, which involved LACOFD Squad 41, occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m. Both firefighters inside the squad—a male and a female—self-extricated and walked back to their nearby fire station while carrying their gear. The female firefighter appeared to be limping but was able to make it inside the station.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters before being transported by ambulance.
It remains unclear whether Squad 41 was responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
