A Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACOFD) emergency unit was involved in a traffic collision near its station late Sunday night, March 9, 2025.
Both firefighters inside Squad 41—a male and a female—self-extricated following the crash. They were seen carrying their gear back to the fire station, located less than a block away. The female firefighter appeared to be limping but made it inside the station.
The driver of the other vehicle was trapped in the wreckage and had to be rescued by firefighters before being transported by ambulance.
It is unclear whether Squad 41 was responding to an emergency with lights and sirens at the time of the crash. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
