Perris, CA, June 30, 2025 – A fast-moving brush fire dubbed the Juniper Fire burned nearly 700 acres Monday in the Mead Valley area of Riverside County, damaging several rural structures before firefighters were able to halt its forward progress.The blaze broke out around 11:20 a.m. on June 30, 2025, near the 19300 block of Ann Way, south of Juniper Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.Multiple firefighting agencies, including crews from Cal Fire, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and local resources, responded to the scene. Crews encountered flames spreading at a moderate rate through light brush heading southeast.Thanks to a swift and coordinated response, firefighters were able to begin establishing containment lines by Monday afternoon.
