Riverside, CA, July 16, 2025 – One person was killed late Wednesday night in a fatal crash involving a sedan and a semi-trailer on the westbound 91 Freeway under La Sierra Avenue in Riverside. The collision occurred around 11:58 p.m. when a small sedan slammed into the back of a parked semi-truck on the right-hand shoulder. According to the California Highway Patrol and Riverside City Fire, the sedan became wedged more than halfway underneath the trailer. First responders, including AMR paramedics, arrived quickly and confirmed the driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
