Riverside County, CA (January 6, 2025) – A fatal crash involving suspected DUI occurred on Saturday evening at Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive, as reported by the Riverside Police Department.
Around 6:30 p.m., a 75-year-old Riverside woman driving a white 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound on Collett Avenue slowed to turn onto Stonewall Drive when her vehicle was rear-ended by a Toyota Tundra. The impact pushed the Jeep into a head-on collision with a red 2014 Toyota C-HR driven by a 70-year-old Riverside man.
The Jeep’s driver was transported to Riverside Community Hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The Tundra’s driver, a 38-year-old man from Norco, was arrested for DUI and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
Details regarding the conditions of the other parties involved remain unclear. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
