Huntington Beach, CA – A 35-year-old Anaheim man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night after his SUV struck a traffic light pole, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD).
The fatal collision occurred around 10:44 p.m. on April 1, 2025, at the intersection of Bushard Street and Brookhurst Street.
Responding officers arrived to find a white Toyota 4-Runner that had veered off the roadway while traveling southbound on Bushard Street, just north of Brookhurst. The vehicle crashed into a traffic light pole, resulting in significant damage.
Tragically, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other occupants were reported to be in the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Authorities have not released whether speed, impairment or another factor played a role in the incident.
