A hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle slamming into multiple parked cars occurred early Friday morning, February 28, 2025, in Riverside.
According to Riverside Police Department (RPD) PIO Ryan Railsback, officers responded to reports of a collision in the 1400 block of Spruce Street around 2:20 a.m. Upon arrival, an officer attempted to detain two individuals from the suspect vehicle, but both fled on foot.
The officer was able to apprehend the passenger, who was later transported to a hospital for medical clearance before being booked into jail. However, the driver remains at large.
Authorities suspect that DUI may have been a factor, but with the driver still missing, it remains undetermined. The investigation is ongoing.
