Los Angeles, CA – Authorities are investigating a late-night balcony collapse in Silver Lake that left one woman injured on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the 800 block of Robinson Street, near Marathon Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Residents reported that recent heavy rains may have compromised the structure, leading to the collapse. Video from the scene showed an upper-level balcony falling onto a lower deck, causing additional damage.
Emergency responders transported a woman to the hospital with minor injuries, while three other residents declined medical treatment. Fortunately, a pet dog in the home was unharmed.
The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety is assessing the structural integrity of the building as the investigation continues.
