San Diego, CA – A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing his truck into over 100 feet of construction fencing early Friday morning, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:32 a.m. on January 25, 2025, on Friars Road. The driver, who had been partying all night, was heading westbound with a male passenger asleep in the back seat when he lost control of the truck. The vehicle veered off the road, striking the construction fencing along the right shoulder of a large residential construction site.
The truck continued for over 100 yards, damaging the fencing before finally coming to a stop. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries and was subsequently arrested for suspected DUI. Fortunately, the passenger was uninjured in the crash.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
